It started with a simple question.

What if we made it easier for someone to say hello?

Because the truth is, most people aren't avoiding connection.

They're just unsure.

Unsure whether someone wants to talk.
Unsure whether they'd be interrupting.
Unsure whether they're the only one hoping someone else will make the first move.

That tiny moment of uncertainty stops countless conversations before they even begin.

A small invitation can change everything.

The Open Tables Project is a simple community initiative that helps make those first conversations a little easier.

Whether it's a conversation marker in a café or someone wearing one of our designs, each invitation quietly says:

"I'm open to connection."

There's no pressure.
No expectations.
Just permission for a conversation to happen naturally.

Sometimes it's two minutes.

Sometimes it's an hour.

Sometimes it's the beginning of a friendship.

Why the wearables?

We didn't create clothing because we wanted to sell clothing.

We created it because ideas travel.

Every hat, tote or hoodie carries the same gentle invitation into the world.

Someone notices.
Someone smiles.
Someone starts a conversation.

Every purchase also helps us place more Open Tables markers in cafés and community spaces, making it easier for even more people to connect.

You're already part of it.

You don't need to buy anything to support the Open Tables Project.

You might simply smile at someone.
Invite a neighbour for coffee.
Start a conversation with someone sitting alone.

If one of our pieces helps you do that, wonderful.

If it simply reminds you to look up and say hello, that's enough too.

Because connection doesn't always begin with words.

Sometimes it starts with an invitation.
